We moved from Moab to Monticello today which was only about an hour away. On the way we came upon Wilson Arch right beside the road. We put on climbing shoes and started up the short but steep climb. Ted went ahead so I could take his picture in the arch and I made it up a little later. Due to the vertigo from the steep sides, he had to help me across the arch until it flattened out but I am glad I did it as the view was wonderful and it feels like I accomplished something.
When we got to our campsite in Monticello, we dealt with the month's worth of mail that we picked up yesterday. The campground has cable (only three channels) and since we haven't listened to the news in months, turned it on. Same old, same old...war, crime and weather. Guess we haven't missed much. After watching oldies on PBS for awhile, we turned it back off.
