May 7, 2014. J. Percy Priest Lake, Nashville, TN

The weather here is perfect...clear warm days and cool nights.  For the first time in over six months we haven't had the air conditioner on and we have been sitting outside from early until after dark.  I walked the loop around the park as soon as breakfast was over and then went down and sat by the water for quite awhile.  The water was lapping at the shore and I saw several blue herons and an immature loon as well as listened to all kinds of song birds.  It was lovely.  There is a large grassy area across the road from our campsite and up the hill from the boat launch.  Ted went out and practiced throwing some discs.

After lunch Ted went in to Mount Julian to pick up a few things.  I was copying and saving things from my old computer so stayed to work on that.  There is a lot to learn about the new computer but so far I have been able to open a few websites that I use all the time and add them to my favorites.  The main problem is finding things once I have them like this blog, for instance.

When Ted returned we sat out in the shade and read until dinner time.  We rode our bikes around the block to take the trash to the dumpster and then Ted threw a few more discs.  The bugs don't seem to bite but are pesky so we came in about 8:30 CST and are sitting here with all the windows open.
